Our approach to 11+
Here at Haberdashers' Castle House we recognise pressures that are placed on young people and their families to pass the 11+ exam which they sit at the start of Year 6.

There is no right or wrong formula to this and we would certainly advise away for 'over tutoring' children to simply pass an exam. Our approach is simple. Familiarity is key. Children that understand the format, process and expectations of examinations from an early age will stand a far greater chance of achieving their goals.

We are a non-selective school
The 11+ entry route to Senior School is not right for every child. At HCHS we pride ourselves on being a truly non-selective school. At both entry to the school and as children progress through the school, we support parents in their journey.
